For over 30 years the Hale Makai Cottages have been among the most sought after Vacation Rentals on the North Shore of Kauai. The cottages are nestled on 1 1/2 acres of lush tropical landscape. The property sits directly on the ocean with the NaPali rising in the distance. The private and romantic setting of the grounds make them the perfect place for secluded Weddings, Honeymoons, Anniversaries, Birthdays and Family Reunions as well as small Company Functions and Retreats. The Ocean View from Hale Makai is magnificent, with big waves crashing on the reef far away in the ocean. The beach in front of Hale Makai is the ideal playground for guests of all ages for swimming, snorkeling, kite surfing or just beachcombing. The famous North Shore Beaches, Tunnels Beach, Haena Beach Park and Ke'e Beach, are all within walking distance of the cottages. Located at Kepuhi Point in Haena, the Cottages are just 10 minutes away from Hanalei Bay and 15 minutes away from The Princeville Golf Courses, The Princeville Ranch Stables and The Princeville Shopping Center. To the west we are only two minutes away from the end of the road where the Kalalau Trail begins.

PRICES: These prices are for all vacations during the 2005 and 2006 year. Rates may vary if you are interested is booking for future years. Our one bedroom cottages for two people is $215.00 per night. Our two bedroom cottages #2 for four people is $390.00 per night. Our two bedroom cottage # 5 for four people is $350.00 per night. There is a $10.00 per night charge added to the nightly rate for each additional guest. The maximum capacity for our one bedroom cottages is 4 people and for our two bedroom is 6 people. At this time we do not offer a weekly rate.

Lodging Tax:  11.42%
Cleaning Fee:  $95
Cancellations and Refunds
CANCELLATIONS: We must be notified in writing 45 days prior to arrival date. This is a 10% cancellation fee and a $35.00 processing fee for all cancellations made 45 days prior. You will be refunded all payments minus the above fees. After 45 days there is no cancellation or refund. MINIMUM STAY: There is a 4 day minimum stay for all cottages, exceptions can be made if booking calendar permits
Deposits
TO SECURE A BOOKING: In order to secure your booking we require a 50% deposit. The deposit is payable by personal check, money order, Visa, or MasterCard. The remainder of the payment is due 45 days prior to your arrival. In addition to the rental charges there is a $95.00 cleaning charge for one bedroom cottages and $125.00 cleaning charge for two bedroom cottages. This cleaning charge is to be paid directly to the Kauai Cleaning services once on the island. We require a $500.00 security deposit, which is due with the remainder of the rental payment. This security deposit is refundable within 2 weeks of check out in full, unless funds must be deducted to cover additional damages.
