Every once in in a while, in travel, you come upon a certain setting, a point of reference, instantly familiar to you, a vision that you’ve been to before, though you don’t exactly know when. Within the combined magic of the Islands of Hawaii, the Pacific Ocean, and a very special house, such a place exists. On the southwest shores of Oahu, hidden in old Ewa Beach is "Hale Kai Lani.

In a house with a history that dates back to the territorial days, it has literally preserved time within it’s floors and walls. As you look out the windows toward an ocean view, the sound of water constantly coming to shore hypnotizes you, gradually slowing down the world around you.

Inside "Hale Kai Lani" the interior reflects a casual kama‘aina (local) image of "Old Hawaii". Hardwood floors accentuate the thoughtfully selected furnishings that enhance your vision of another time. The open, airy layout of the house contributes to an endless feeling of room to unwind and relax. The living room contains a large television with digital cable service, a DVD player and an AM/FM.

Stereo CD player. Available throughout the house is digital phone service with unlimited long distance calling and Hi-Speed Cable internet access. The master bedroom suite contains a comfortable queen size bed, a couch and an additional television. The room has an air conditioner available, but you just may want to open the windows and utilize the large ceiling fans available in every room. Just down the hall from the master bedroom are two more large comfortable bedrooms, with an available daybed in the den. The house features a large fully stocked kitchen, with an adjacent breakfast bar and dining area. The kitchen is immediately connected to a covered outdoor lanai that faces the back yard, where you can relax after dining, while listening to the soothing sounds of the Pacific Ocean.

The outdoor area features a large front lawn, fully enclosed by a lava rock wall, spacious enough for a family game of touch football. The rear of the house is also fully enclosed with a privacy fence, outdoor tables and chairs, a gas Bar-B-Que grill, and full laundry facilities on the side of the yard.

Five minutes away from your location is a series of shopping centers featuring grocery stores, drug stores, movie rentals, dry cleaning and laundry services, fast food and a multitude of local and ethnic restaurants for your dining pleasure. Also nearby are six golf courses, tennis courts, several local parks, and even a historic train ride.

Just a convenient commute away are more attractions for your viewing, dining, and shopping pleasure. For instance, a multiplex movie theatre in nearby Kapolei, the Waikele Outlet Shopping Center, featuring brand name designer wear at a significant discount. The Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is sure to be a big hit with the children. There is also the USS Missouri, the USS Arizona Memorial, historic Pearl Harbor and the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. The North Shore is approximately 30 minutes away from your location, with world famous surf beaches, the Macadamia Nut Farm, the Dole Plantation, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Wyland Art gallery, and several other unique shops and restaurants .

At “Hale Kai Lani” we want you to immediately feel at home,… almost as if you’d never left your own house. It has the feel of a summer beach house in the American northeast, maybe even the type of house that a Ralph Lauren photo shoot would take place in, where tousle-haired children run endlessly in and out of doors called after by their mothers. Experience the local flavor of this Island life, as it is lived on a daily basis in a beach community. Enjoy the rich history of the former plantation community that was Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Cancellations and Refunds

3. CANCELLATION: RESERVATIONS ARE CONSIDERED BOOKED WHEN THE Payment is received through Pay Pal and deposited in KHKB Pay Pal account. To cancel this reservation, notice of cancellation MUST BE IN WRITING AND RECEIVED MORE THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK-IN DATE. KHKB will refund the sums you have paid, less a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total rent amount. If your notice of cancellation is RECEIVED LESS THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK-IN DATE, Guest will forfeit all sums paid, except the cleaning charge, unless we are able to re-rent the property to someone else, at the same rate for the same period. In the event the property is re-rented for less than the original amount of rent, canceling Guest will receive the balance of his advance rental payment.
